Oceanforce is
the proud owner of Elevation Records, which he founded in 2002. He has released 2 tracks including a collaboration with
Ian Betts called Polarise. His debut single, Euphoric Dream proved to be a huge success with big support from Armin, Paul
Van Dyk, Tiesto and Dave Pearce! The flip side of Euphoric Dream, Energy Flow had massive chart and radio support from
Judge Jules.
Oceanforce first got in DJ’ing back in 1992 when the hardcore scene was at its peak. Playing a mixture and old skool and drum and bass, he played on several pirate radio stations in SW London. He first got into the trance scene in 1998 when regularly visiting the infamous Turnmills club in London where many of the top DJ’s played on a Friday night.
Oceanforce got his big break on the trance circuit by gusting at Submaniac before getting sets at Sleepless, Trinity,
Knowhere and Fearless. His studies and management of the label have prevented him from DJ’ing over the last few years but
hopes to be spinning the tunes in the not to distant future!
On the production side, he has recently invested in a new Macintosh and Logic Pro so watch this space for any new material that comes out!
The man behind
the Factoria project is UK based producer and DJ Dave Dowsett.
Factoria productions appear regally in the playlists of many A-List DJ’s including Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren,
DJ Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, and Above and Beyond as well as Radio Airplay from Dave Pearce on BBC Radio 1 and P
aul Kershaw on Galaxy FM.
Dave joined the Elevation stable in 2003 with the release of ‘Conductivity’ a collaboration between him and label boss Oceanforce. Soon after this Elevation released the first solo single of the Factoria Project a double track vinyl of ‘Twist Of Fate’ and ‘Digital Destination’. Dave has been involved with the label in many areas since he joined and we continue to see a consistent flow of quality trance from this talented artist.

Born on january
31st at 4 am, I was a little fellow that would never keep still. I always had to be busy with something and paying
full attention to what I was doing. Things I kept myself busy with were typical kids stuff, like LEGO, playing soccer
or basketball with friends, riding my bicycle etc. I finished my primary school very nearby my current residence, in a
small, cosy little school, where almost everybody knew each other. For my secondary grades, I went into town nearby
(Leuven - Louvain). As for higher studies, I first tried to take on the studies of civil engineering, but I soon found
out that it was nothing for me. Particularly the atmosphere bothered me - it was way too self-oriented. Therefore,
I quickly turned to industrial engineering at Group T, which was levered to the same level as a university grade only
a few years ago. I've finished my studies at that school, doing my thesis together with a colleague from school, at IMEC.
On the musical side of things, I've been producing since about 2001 and listening to trance since about 1996. I first
started experimenting with small, very standard programs like Technomaker and MixMaster Pro, which made me got the hang
of producing. Up until now, I've been using FL Studio as my sequencer, which has stolen my heart for producing... With
the right vst plugins, sample collections, patience and experience through practice and experimenting, it all pays
off eventually. I currently have my first few releases out. Hopefully, there'll be more to follow, so Icone can be
just as many many others, "an icon for trance music" ;-)
